Objectives:
This conference organised by the Diabetic Kidney Disease Centre brings together internationally renowned speakers in the fields of diabetology, nephrology, cardiology and translational science to review current advances and address challenges ahead for diabetic kidney disease.
By the end of the course delegates will have gained:
- Up to date knowledge on the recent advances in therapy areas, both medical and surgical for diabetes and kidney disease, with discussion on recent trial data and evolving evidence of cardio-renal metabolic protection.
- Insight from in-depth case based discussions on difficult to manage patients with diabetes with significant co-morbidities
- An introduction to the future of renal imaging for diabetic and CKD
- Insight into the role of Diabetes in bone and liver disease
